1.2 Financial Data: When you connect your financial accounts through Plaid, we receive read-only access to your account balances and transaction history, your investment holdings and positions, and account metadata such as account type and institution name. We never store your banking credentials — all connections are made securely through our data aggregator.

1.3 Usage Information: We collect basic information about how you interact with Arlenz — pages viewed, features used, and general device information — so we can improve the product. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles.

How We Use Your Information

2.1 Provide the Service: We use your information to maintain your account, aggregate and categorise your transactions, and generate insights and reports about your finances.

2.2 Notifications & Support: We use your contact details to send important account notifications and respond to your support requests.

2.3 Improve Arlenz: With your information we improve existing features and develop new ones. We never sell your data, and we never use your financial information to target advertising.

Data Security

We protect your data with 256-bit AES encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit. Multi-factor authentication is available on every account, and we run regular security audits and penetration testing. Connections to your financial institutions go through Plaid; we never see or store your bank credentials.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Your Rights

You have the right to access your personal data and request correction of any inaccurate information. You may also request deletion of your data or export it in a portable format at any time, and you can withdraw your consent whenever you choose.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Your continued use of Arlenz after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
